Success at Standish is a Family Affair

Teachers at Standish this year could be forgiven for seeing double – and even triple – on results day as three sets of twins and one set of triplets all received their GCSEs this year.  The students – Amy and Eve Goodwin, George and Lucy Wright, Adam and Matthew Ainscough and triplets Alice, Ella and Molly Halliwell – achieved a staggering 78 GCSE passes between them. All the students were delighted on results day, and are now busily planning the next stages of their lives at college. Head of Year 11, Mr Morgan said, “It’s hard for siblings not to get competitive or want to compare results in situations like these, but it’s really nice to see how well they have all done as individuals. I couldn’t be happier for all of them!”
