Duke of Edinburgh Award

Whether your child is continuing onto the Silver Award, joining us as a Direct Entrant at Silver or whether they are joining us for the first time on the Bronze Award, we are sure they will enjoy their experience and come away with skills that will carry them through life and enhance their CV.

Following a successful DofE (Duke of Edinburgh) Season with AOA Ltd providing the Award as an external supplier, we are happy to announce that we will be continuing our Partnership with Standish Community High School for all future DofE Awards. We are an externally formed company made up of ex and current staff, ex and current parents and extremely enthusiastic volunteers that have forged a very close partnership with Standish Community High School and will offer a very efficient and professional service. The team have worked directly with Standish Community High School for many years, and it is this team that will continue to work with the participants during their award. There is a wealth of skill and experience ranging from ‘ex-forces’ to BEL qualified amongst the trainers, and these attributes will be passed on to your child throughout their time with us.

  • We would like to inform all interested participants and their parents/guardians that we will be attending the Welcome to Key Stage 4 Evening on Thursday 15th September 2016.
  • A ‘drop-in’ session will be held in the Drama Studio (next to the Sports Hall) immediately after each year group talk.
  • We will be available to answer questions for both Bronze and Silver entrants and we will also be taking enrolments for both Awards.

As part of the participant’s preparation towards the Award, we ask that you encourage your child to download the relevant booklet from below and complete it prior to the meeting or alternatively over the weekend once you have all the information you require.

It is an essential part of the enrolment process and we will require the completed booklet along with the appropriate fee no later than Monday 19th September 2016. Unfortunately, we will not be able to process your child’s application without the completed booklet and the 1st installment.

If in the meantime you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail, through our Facebook page or alternatively on 07789 810011.  We look forward to meeting you and discussing the Award and its challenges and subsequent benefits to your child’s future.
