Success came in pairs this year at Standish as two sets of twins, Sasha and Szaye Hall and Faye and Natalie Darbyshire, have achieved an astonishing 28 As and A*s in their GCSEs – as well as 12 Grade 8s and 9s in the new, toughened-up qualifications for English and maths. All four girls are celebrating being some of the most successful students in the school this year, with Natalie in particular excelling by achieving the highest grades possible: a clean sweep of 7 A*s and three Grade 9s. “All four girls have worked extremely hard,” said Mr Pollard, the Head at Standish. “Their teachers are absolutely delighted that they’ve achieved the success they so richly deserve.”
